An Unexpected Turn

Hey,

It’s been a little while, hasn’t it?

This newsletter went silent for some time (hopefully you noticed)

It’s been around 7 months since my last email, and a lot has changed.

To those who are still subscribed, thank you.

To anyone new, welcome!

Life has a way of redirecting our paths, sometimes abruptly, and my journey took an unexpected turn.

But it’s given me clarity on why I started this newsletter in the first place.

When sent the 1st issue of The Proven Approach, I was looking for a way to actualise my thoughts through long-form writing, in the hopes that someone out there would find value in them.

And that hasn’t changed.

But I started the newsletter at the same time as I started a fresh freelance writing business. Biting off a little more than I could chew.

I had 0 idea just how much that would consume my life for the next year.

Freelancing done right (maxed out on clients with more waiting in the pipeline) takes a ridiculous amount of work to get off the ground. It required 100% of my attention.

But you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Because the effort paid off, and I'm proud to say that my business is now in a great place.

And now, I finally have the breathing room to write for passion again.

So here we are, at the start of a new chapter.

Life redirected my path for a bit, but it's led me right back to why I started this newsletter in the first place.

I'm excited to dive back in, with more experience, deeper insights, and a renewed appreciation for this space we share.

With that said, I think it’s appropriate that I reintroduce The Proven Approach. Below is a snippet from my welcome email. I think it does a good job of summing the whole thing up!

About This Newsletter

I'm not claiming to have cracked the code on life. I know there's no universal, proven method for a great existence - it's too personal and subjective for that.

The 'Proven' in the title refers to my own journey. This approach is built on my real-life experiences - the wins, the failures, and all the messy bits in between. It's proven by me, for me.

This newsletter is my way of sharing what I've learned (and continue to learn). By opening up about my path, I hope to inspire you to find your own proven approach. Because while I can't give you a blueprint for a perfect life, I can show you how I'm working on mine.

Right now: I'm climbing the corporate ladder as a Demand Generation Specialist in Fintech, I'm building a Newsletter writing business from scratch (it's been around 10 months and I'm proud to call it "successful"), and pushing myself to the limits physically, mentally, and spiritually.

That's pretty much me summed up.

Each week, I'll send you raw, unfiltered thoughts on:

How to thrive in a 9-5

The ups and downs of running a one-person business

My ongoing quest for physical and mental ascension

Spiritual enlightenment that keeps me grounded

Philosophical musings that challenge the status quo

Fair warning: We might get a little deep sometimes.

Anyway, I’ll leave it there for today.

But one change I should mention:

Previously, I committed to a weekly schedule, but that's changing. Moving forward, I'll be writing to you more frequently - multiple times a week.

How often exactly?

I’m keeping that fluid: When I have valuable thoughts to share, I'll reach out.

I believe this new rhythm will allow for more impactful conversations between us.

Until next time,

Hmm signature

P.S.

Knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied.

If you know someone who could benefit from these insights, please pass this newsletter along.

Let’s grow together.
